MY WAR DIARY offers un-filtered stories from Iraq, Afghanistan and other duty stations in Southwest Asia, told by personal videos and photos sent by those serving in the armed forces. Each episode will present a broad range of the life in a war zone, from down time, to the emotional strain from being far from home, to gripping never-before-seen battle scenes.
Episode 5: Courage Under Fire

Act 1 - A Civil Affairs team attached to the U.S. Army's 24th Infantry was on a humanitarian mission. While delivering supplies and heaters to local schools, their convoy came under attack.
Act 2 - The U.S. Navy’s VAW-116 is stationed aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. After months at sea, three pilots used a camera and a laptop computer to relieve the monotony. They came up with a cool "Hey Ya" tribute to the ship's hard-working crew.
Act 3 - SGT Shawn Bronso and his platoon from the 110th Infantry were on a mission in Al Anbar province providing security for demolition engineers. In an instant, the situation turned deadly.
Act 4 - SGT Nick Sendelbach and his unit were sent to oversee a raid by Iraqi Police of suspected counterfeiters. They hit paydirt - in bogus Iraqi dinars used to fund bad guys.
