Episode 1: Boots in the Sand
SGT Robert Porter tells the story of helping survivors - despite his severe shrapnel wounds - after the bombing of an Iraqi high school during a re-opening ceremony. Another non-com takes you along on just another routine Baghdad patrol, while SPC Brian Faenza finds way to have a little aerobatic fun with some sand dunes and a bike.
Episode 2: A Day To Remember
1LT Brian Suits and CPL Philip Holt document the first free Iraqi elections and tell about helping their translator vote. A soldier patrolling with Iraqi troops films a lifesaving moment during a firefight, and two friends in the Indiana National Guard - Josh Dobbs and Matt Wright - get together to produce a parody of the TV show, "Pimp My Ride".
Episode 3: Keep Your Head Down
Battles and boredom are both parts of war as seen in these soldier-generated clips, including: an insurgent ambush in Mosul; soldiers get creative during down time and videotape of amateur stunts for comic relief. SPC Evan Mason puts together a special video for his wife Julie, sharing his world of cozy quarters and hostile Iraqi streets.
Episode 4: All in A Day's Work
Soldiers intervene when a firefight erupts between insurgents and Iraqi police; A Black Hawk helicopter crew conducts a difficult rescue to aid the injured; A Navy squadron creates a humorous music video; and a soldier wins an award for his short film chronicling a year of war, loss, and humanitarian efforts in Iraq.
