As of right now, the Gulf of Aden is sporting an international array of naval vessels in an attempt to stop the spread of piracy. The problem is, the seas are too vast and there are too many cargo ships at work, for this to be truly effective. And if you think that the naval presence is enough to deter pirates, think again—the potential reward is far too great.
