Heaven and Earth (1993)The final movie in Oliver Stone's Vietnam trilogy (joining Platoon and Born on the Fourth of July), Heaven and Earth follows the true story of a Vietnamese village girl who survives a life of suffering and hardship during and after the Vietnam war. It follows her life as she is first victimized by South Vietnamese and then Viet Cong soldiers and eventually meets a U.S. gunnery sergeant (Tommy Lee Jones) who takes her to the United States to begin a new life.
