No. 7 - Tomahawk

redeye
The Tomahawk missile was the "it" missile of the 1990s.

Tomahawks fired from U.S. warships opened the air war against Iraq in Operation Desert Storm, and they were central to the Clinton administration's strategy for retaliating against terrorist attacks and containing Saddam Hussein in the 1990s.

The Tomahawk is a cruise missile; it's basically a small robot aircraft with a jet engine and an explosive warhead. Later versions of the Tomahawk used "terrain-following" radar and GPS to skim over the Earth's surface before surging upward and dropping onto the target.
