Some of the fighters are due to ship out for>Iraq the day after the competition. That makes it even more important for the fighters to play by the rules and not commit any fouls. ILLEGAL TECHNIQUES AND FOULS If a fighter flagrantly breaks any rule, the official ring referee shall immediately disqualify him. However, if the foul is not severe or intentional, the official ring referee may issue a warning at his discretion. Any form of unsportsmanlike conduct can result in immediate disqualification. THE FOLLOWING TECHNIQUES ARE PROHIBITED AND CONSIDERED FOULS: Elbow or forearm striking. Biting. Eye-Gouging, including with chin or forehead. Knees to the face or head while standing or knees above the waist on the ground. Kicks above the waist to a fighter who is "on the ground" -- that is, when the fighter kicked is not in a "two-point position," which means standing or crouching on his feet. Fish hooks Hair pulling. Groin grabs. Groin strikes. Single digit manipulation (finger and toe locks). Head butting. No fingertip gouging to the face or any part of the body (including into the throat). No strikes to the throat, groin and spine. No fingertip strikes or rakes. Lifting, pushing, throwing or otherwise forcing an opponent out of the ring or cage. Fleeing the ring for any reason whatsoever.
