Build a Viking Catapult
Rubber bands and bamboo skewers are the main ingredients for this Viking Catapult.

What You'll Need
The materials for the Viking Catapult.

Build the Base
Use three of the skewers to make a triangle.

Build the Frame
Poke two skewers into two corners of your triangle.

Continuing the the Frame
You should now have two triangles on top of each other.
Finish the Frame
The frame should now look like a mangled pyramid.

Build the Firing Mechanism
You can use a trimmed-down film cannister for the firing mechanism.

Continue the Firing Mechanism
Fasten an elastic band to each hole.

Attach the Firing Mechanism
Fasten the free end of each band to the skewers that make up the frame.

Ready. Aim. Fire!
Firing is easy - load up the ammunition, pull back and release.
