The "Mountain Phase" ends with two field training exercises. Students will have to cross country over mountains, conduct vehicle ambushes and raid communications/mortar sites.

As the phase progresses, students learn how to sustain themselves and their subordinates in the unforgiving mountain environment. Faced with rugged terrain, severe weather and hunger, not to mention mental and physical fatigue, students have to look deep within themselves and gauge their capabilities and limitations.
